Tip by Sheldon Sheehy.A popular Drill for any level in my gym is Bingo.We play with any 5 objectives such as:Stuff BlockClean KillMiddle Transition KillPerfect Pass to FBSOBack Row KillSo on and so forth anything you want your team to be working on you make it one of the bingo goal.Then you play to 15 and whoever wins the game to 15 gets the Free space. Tip by Megan Distler in Jefferson City, MO. We like to make sure we are competing with our serve and our passing. One of our favorite 6v6 for serve and serve receive is serving baseball. Game is played in "innings". Each side starts in rotation 1, with one side serving and one side in serve receive. Serving side is working to earn 3 "outs" - each point they win is an out. Tip by Scott Vanderkolk from Indiana. We place a heavy emphasis on serving efficiency and being aggressive with our serves. Early in my coaching career, I noticed that one of the biggest reasons we were missing serves was because we were tired and not mentally focused when we got to the service line. To combat this issue, 2-3 times a practice, we utilize what we call "Serve 10". Tip by Deb Matos, Nickel City Volleyball - Buffalo, NY A game that our players love is "Rotating 4s".This drill encourages communication and gets everyone involved and moving. Can be a great warmup game or something to pull out when the team needs a little energy boost!! Players are split in 2 teams with 4 players on each side (3 back row and a front row 'setter').
