Plus One- this is an activity that can be implemented in many different types of drills, typically I use it as a warm up drill. Set up similar to queens court: 3 players to a side and extra players lined up on the end line.
The drill is called plus one because the number of contacts the side gets increases by one as the ball crosses the net. The fist in one one, second is two, etc. after the count gets to 5 contacts, the count resets at one- which catches a lot of teams off guard.
This drill works on court awareness, communication, and ball control. This is a huge favorite of our athletes and we have other teams come to our court and join us when we play!
