Instead of just making the girls run to get in shape , I like to challenge them and do real game situations that require them a lot of fast movement in short period. I call it five touches, where say your OH hits a free ball, and then slides over to block a ball being held by someone above net, and then moves back to block outside where someone is holding a ball above the net (player has to touch ball with both hands) then they transition back to hit a ball that you toss to a passer and they pass to setter who sets outside. 

Then repeat, 4 times. Each set should take about 10-15 seconds you are moving these girls as fast as possible with no breaks. Middle starts middle and then goes either outside or rightside your choice. Everyone including libero and setters do the drill, the team usually cheers loud encouraging everyone and if they are not, make them cheer. The girls hate and love this drill.
